Como hoy habría sido el 61 cumpleaños de Ian Curtis, quería publicar algo de Joy Division. Ian Kevin Curtis nació el 15 de julio de 1956 y lamentablemente se quitó la vida el 18 de mayo de 1980. Ian era un cantautor y músico inglés, más conocido como cantante principal y letrista de la banda de Manchester Joy Division.
Joy Division fue una banda inglesa de post-punk que se formó en 1976 en Salford, Greater Manchester. Originalmente llamado Varsovia , el grupo estaba formado por el cantante Ian Curtis, el guitarrista y teclista Bernard Sumner, el bajista Peter Hook y el baterista Stephen Morris.
Después de la desaparición de Ian, el resto de Joy Division decidió continuar con la incorporación de la novia de Morris, Gillian Gilbert, que se unió a los teclados, y Bernard Summer tomó el lugar de Ian a la voz. La banda también cambió su nombre al de New Order.
She’s Lost control se toma del álbum de debut de la banda con Factory Records, Unknown Pleasures, que fue lanzado el 15 de junio de 1979. Otra versión de la canción se publicó en 1980, en los singles de 7 “y 12”.
