New Order – Temptation (1982)

New Order son un grupo inglés de indie rock / electrónica de Manchester, formado en 1980. El grupo se formó a partir de su anterior banda, Joy Division, cuando el cantante Ian Curtis se suicidó el 18 de mayo de 1980. El grupo decidió continuar con la adición de la novia del baterista Stephen Morris, Gillian Gilbert, en los sintetizadores y teclado. El grupo está aun activo, pero por desgracia, ya no cuenta con el bajista Peter Hook.

El cuarto sencillo de New Order, y su primer single autoeditado, «Temptation» fue lanzado el 10 de mayo de 1982 en formato de 7″ y 12″. Era un sencillo independiente, no incluido en ningún álbum, hasta que en 1987 formó parte del álbum recopilatorio de singles «Substance«, pero se trató de otra versión grabada y no el original. El sencillo original solo alcanzó puesto 29 en las listas británicas.

En aquel momento no exxitía ningún vídeo hecho para esta canción , éste fue filmado para la reedición del material de los grupos del sello Rhino.
