The Jam – David Watts (1978)

The Jam fue un grupo inglés de punk rock o “mod revival” (resurgimiento mod) que estuvo activo durante la década de los 70 y principios de los 80. El grupo fue fundado en Woking, Surrey, Inglaterra, en 1972, cuando aún iban al instituto. Pero no fue hasta 1977 cuando se constituyó la formación clásica con Paul Weller, Rick Buckler y Bruce Foxton.

“David Watts” (versión de The Kinks) fue una de los sencillos del doble cara A lanzado el 26 de agosto de 1978, mientras que la otra cara fue “A Bomb In Wardour Street”. Ambas pistas fueron incluidas en el tercer álbum del grupo, “All Mod Cons”, que fue publicado el 3 de noviembre de 1978. El vídeo que os traigo hoy está extraído del legendario programa de televisión de la BBC, TOTP (Top Of The Pops).
