Premier: No Me Creo Nada, first single in Spanish by Six To Fix

Six To Fix - No Me Creo Nada

Yes, you can believe it. Six To Fix has released a new single, and they’re doing it in Spanish. Although English has been their language in music since they started, the Valencian band has decided to give their lyrics a twist in their native language. And it sounds great. ” No Me Creo Nada” (I don’t Believe Anything) is a fresh, danceable electropop single that combines influences as diverse as the power of Muse with the electronics of Avicii.

With this new song, Six To Fix adapts to this change effortlessly. “After 10 years of singing in English, at first it was strange to hear it in Spanish during rehearsals. But we’ve gotten used to it,” Six To Fix told Jungle Indie Rock. “I feel comfortable because I’ve sung in Spanish in previous bands,” says Alfonso, the band’s singer. “This time, the four of us wrote the lyrics and worked on the music together in the rehearsal room,” he added.

It’s well known that the language barrier is a limitation for music in the Spanish market. International bands enter easily, but there’s an unspoken restriction on those from our homeland who opt for the sound of the English-speaking market. It’s true that not everyone can do so. A strange English accent can ruin a good work. But that wasn’t the case for Six To Fix, whose English is fluent and natural, so they don’t plan to abandon their previous songs, as other bands who have taken this step have done.

“We’re going to alternate between English and Spanish while preparing the repertoire in rehearsals. We’ve realized that this adds more dynamism to the live shows, and that’s a good thing,” they said.

No Me Creo Nada, recorded and produced in Majadahonda (Madrid, Spain), at The Taxi Den studio, is a song that talks about the lies of politicians and their followers on social media.

“Everyone lies, and it’s precisely those who denounce fake news and hoaxes who then share them if it suits them. Politics is polarized, but both sides lie or deceive when it suits them,” they commented.

The Valencian band has five more tracks in the pantry that they will be releasing for their upcoming EP, La Superficie.

“We have softer, more personal songs like La Vida; more classic rock in Mucho Mundo or Abre Tus Ojos; a song with two distinct parts called La Superficie; and another more contemporary and different song called Decir Que No,” they advanced.

Letra

Tanto escuchar palabras alrededor.
Dime si aún me mientes o tal vez peor.

Tanto escuchar palabras alrededor.

Ya no te puedo creer, ya no te puedo mirar, no me creo nada nada

The collaborative process really shines through in this track—there’s a strong cohesion between the lyrics and production that makes it feel alive. It’s exciting to see how switching to Spanish opened up new creative possibilities for the band.
