Lauren Strange – Zombie (The Cranberries Cover)

Singer-songwriter Lauren Strange performs a respectful version of The Cranberries’ song, Zombie, supported by a great voice and a beautiful accompaniment on guitars. It is not easy to cover a song that will always bring to mind Dolores O’Riordan’s echo, but Lauren Strange is able to wake these memories without breaking the spell of the song, and achieving a convincing result.

Zombie was recorded & mixed by Graham Waks at Left Plus Right Studio, mastered by Mark Chalecki, and released as a single on 23th September 2016, via Stay Strange Records.

Lauren Strange is a singer-songwriter from Nashville, TN. Grand-Prize Winner of the John Lennon International Songwriting Contest, Lauren has colaborated with a wide range of artists, including Paul McCartney, Passion Pit, and Little Anthony & The Imperials.

Lauren Strange – Zombie Lyrics

Another head hangs lowly
Child is slowly taken
And the violence caused such silence
Who are we mistaken?

But you see, it’s not me, it’s not my family
In your head, in your head they are fighting
With their tanks, and their bombs, and their bombs, and their guns
In your head, in your head they are crying
In your head, in your head
Zombie, zombie, zombie-ie-ie
What’s in your head? In your head?
Zombie, zombie, zombie-ie-ie-ie, oh
Another mother’s breaking
Heart is taking over
When the violence causes silence
We must be mistaken
It’s the same old theme, since nineteen-sixteen
In your head, in your head they’re still fighting
With their tanks, and their bombs, and their bombs, and their guns
In your head, in your head they are dying
In your head, in your head
Zombie, zombie, zombie-ie-ie
What’s in your head? In your head?
Zombie, zombie, zombie-ie-ie-ie, oh
Oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh, eh-eh-oh, ra-ra
