Suicide – Suicide (1977)

Sad news today, that we have lost a true maverick and innovative musician, Alan Vega, one half of the influential New York protopunk band Suicide. He past away in his sleep, last night, 16th July 16 2016, at the ripe age of 78.

Suicide were Alan Vega and Martin Rev, formed in 1970, in New York. 1977 was the release of the bands influential debut album Suicide. I can still remember the first time I played it, how much it blew me away!!

Both Vega and Rev had many solo albums. They still came back together to play their Suicide albums live well into the 2010′s.
